NOTICE OF 30-DAY PUBLIC REVIEW <br /> CITY OF CHINO HILLS <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br /> 2018-2019 ACTION PLAN DRAFT <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City <br /> of Chino Hills has prepared its draft One-Year <br /> Action Plan 2018-2019 for the Community <br /> Development Block Grant Program(CDBG). <br /> The publication of this notice is the <br /> beginning of the 30-day public review period <br /> required under Federal Regulation 24 CFR <br /> 91.105(b)(2). The public review and written <br /> comment period begins May 14, 2018 and ends <br /> June 13,2018. <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN <br /> that the One-Year Action Plan will be presented to <br /> the City Council for approval on June 26, 2018 at <br /> 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at <br /> 14000 City Center Drive,Chino Hills,CA 91709. <br /> At this meeting, the City Council will <br /> receive public comment on the draft One-Year <br /> Action Plan 2018-2019 and approved 30-day <br /> review, with the intent to submit the One-Year <br /> Action Plan 2018-2019 to the Department of <br /> Housing and Urban Development(HUD). <br /> During 2018-2019, the City of Chino Hills <br /> will receive an amount of$375,372 in CDBG Funds. <br /> Pursuant to federal regulations, every CDBG <br /> activity must meet the requirements for one of the <br /> national objectives: benefit low and moderate- <br /> income persons; prevent or eliminate slum or blight; <br /> or meet an urgent need that poses a serious or <br /> immediate threat to the health or welfare of the <br /> community. <br /> To receive these funds, the City of Chino <br /> Hills is required to submit to HUD a One-Year <br /> Action Plan. The One-Year Action Plan provides <br /> detailed information regarding the priorities and <br /> expenditures of the CDBG program. <br /> For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018 <br /> and ending June 30, 2019, the City of Chino Hills <br /> proposes the utilization of CDBG funds to <br /> implement the programs listed below: <br /> Public Service Programs: <br /> Chino Hills Library $ 10,000 <br /> House of Ruth $ 10,000 <br /> Inland Fair Housing&Medication Board $ 10,000 <br /> Heart2Serve $20,100 <br /> Grant Administration $75,074 <br /> Community Improvement Projects $250,198 <br /> TOTAL $375,372 <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Copies of the latest drafts of this <br /> document will be available for public review on the <br /> City's website at www.chinohills.org/CDBG and <br /> City of Chino Hills, Community Services <br /> Department, 14000 City Center Drive, Chino Hills, <br /> CA 91709. <br /> The public is invited to submit written <br /> comments on the housing, community, economic <br /> development needs, and proposed projects as <br /> articulated in the One-Year Action Plan.
