A07-30 WITH TEMECULA MECHANICAL, INC. RECOMMENDATION: Approve Change Order No. 5 to Agreement No. A07-30 with Temecula Mechanical, Inc. in the amount of$4,680. BACKGROUND/ANALYSIS: ifJanuary 23, 2007, the City Council approved the plans and specifications and provided t fhorization to staff to solicit bids for the construction of the Chino Hills Government Center nd Infrastructure Improvements Project Phase 2. On March 27, 2007, April 10, 2007, May 22, 2007, June 12, 2007, and finally on March 28, 2008, City Council approved the award of all trade contracts for the City of Chino Hills Government Center project. Since the award, City Council has approved four (4) change orders to the agreement totaling $35,498. During the course of completing the improvements on the Ring Road infrastructure project, staff identified a water ponding concern during rain storms on the easement at Boys Republic Drive. Staff requested that an area drain be added to remove this water. The drain was installed per City recommendations. Staff has reviewed the contractor's claimed extra costs for this additional work and recommends that the City Council approve Change Order No. 5 with Temecula Mechanical, Inc. in the amount of$4,680.
