Approve an estimated revenue increase in Parks and Landscape Open Space in the amount of $40,000. 2. Approve a budget appropriation increase in Parks and Landscape Open Space expense in the amount of $40,000. BACKGROUND/ANALYSIS: The City Council previously approved partnering with the Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) on the Greater Prado Basin Clean-up Project Grant. The grant was funded by the State Water Resources Control Board, which involved the clean-up of several areas within the Prado Basin. The portion of this grant project involving Chino Hills is the clean-up of Chino Creek. This clean-up started south of the Central Avenue Bridge and continued south to a location where the creek is parallel with the Big League Dreams Sports Park. The City contracted with the California Conservation Corps (CCC) to perform the clean-up of the creek, The remainder of the work was completed in the beginning of this year by CCC. Staff is asking for an appropriation increase in the amount of $40,000 for the cost to complete the clean-up. The City has received partial reimbursement from IEUA and has invoiced the remaining amount.
