Proposed Change The proposed change is to add functionality to the Print Button on the Agreements screen so that it will be easy to copy that functionality and reuse as the City adds new records series and screens to the application similar to the current Agreements screen. The current functionality behind the print button allows printing a label specific to Agreements. The City needs to be able to print a multiplicity of labels with different structures. To support the ability to add new screens for new record types and print labels with different structures without having to reprogram each label, It is proposed that additional programming be performed to create a dynamic interface with the printing software, BarTender, and any new label designs created. 2. Rational and Scope The reason for this additional programming is to allow the City to more easily configure printing functionality for new WorkView classes and filters (queries) as they are added. The City has multiple record series for which tracking and label printing will be required. The City's IT staff will be creating new data structures to track record series. Labels for different records series will also need to be printed. To make it easier to create new data structures, the City has decided to approach the development of new classes(data tables/indexing templates) and folder labels on a departmental level, with classes created for records groups such as Community Development or City Council. Fields(attributes)will be used to differentiate record series within functional areas. As new record series are created within the WorkView application, they will need a button to print a label specific to that record series. The proposed change will permit this by creating a set of dynamic commands that can be used for each new record series. This will minimize the amount of work that IT staff will have to do to expand the application. The specific changes are described in the technical appendix below. 3. Risks and Assumptions N.A. 4. Costs Product/Servrce I Unit r Qty Cost Modifications to Web service Hrs. The Web service/application currently accepts the following parameters: '1. fnum -File Number 2, contractor—Contractor 3. doctype—Doc Type 4. desc—Description 5. ctype -Contractor Type 6. amend--Amendment Number The Web service then delivers a CSV file which consists of a Header row(header row data is stored in Web.config file)and a data row(combining all 6 parameters.)and exports to a fife location (stored in Web.config file as well.) This current design handles the delivery of a single WorkView class to a single file location only. The proposed change will add an additional parameter to the input entry: <class>. That parameter will direct the Web Service to pull different settings from the Web.Config file for processing. The Web.config file will be expanded to support multiple sets of the"PrintToPath"settings. As a result, with the code change for the Web service, the Web service will route the outputted CSV file to various file locations dynamically based on the class value. In Web.Config file, the setting's parameters are: - Standard Parameters:each output file will including the following columns: <add key="TitleFieldl" value. "FileNumber" I> <add key="TitleFieldl" value= "Contractor" /> <add key="TitleField3" value= "Project" I> <add key"TitleField4" value= "Description" I> <add keyr"TitleField5" value= "Source" /> <add key="TitleField5" value= "ContractType" /> <add key="TitleField7" value= "AmendmentNumber" I> - Parameters: by adding a pair for each setting, the Web service can deliver the CSV file to various locations(where X stands for a set number that begins at 1.): <add key"PrintToPathX" value="C:\\Temp\\" I> <add key="ClassX" value="Agreements" I> A single parameter will set how many PrintToPath and Class data sets the web service will process. <add key="t•1axCounr" value="5" I> WEB SERVICE MODIFICATION KMBS-ECM CONFIDENTIAL&PROPRIETARY PAGE 4
