CM2018-047 PLNG COMM ACTION RE AGENDA ITEM 5BDATE: July 18, 2018 MEMORANDUM CM2018-047 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Coun it FROM: Konradt Bartlam, City Manag RE: PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION REGARDING AGENDA ITEM 5B - CUSTOM HOME DESIGN REVIEW NO. 453 ON CARBON CANYON ROAD At their meeting on July 17, 2018, the Planning Commission received a report from City staff regarding the above-mentioned item, a request for approval of Custom Home Design Review 453 for the construction of a one-story, single-family detached, residence consisting of 3,073 -square feet of livable space with an attached 2,279 -square foot, three -car and recreational vehicle garage on the property located west of Carbon Canyon Road and north of Carriage Hills Lane. The Commission discussed the drainage of the property, the visibility of the property from Carbon Canyon Road, the grading and retaining wall designs for the property, the use of the access road, and the design of its intersection with Carbon Canyon Road. Discussion also included the landscape treatment of the front yard and the quality of the architectural design. The Planning Commission approved the project by a unanimous vote, 5-0. KB:JL:RG:mh
