Each count is planned, coordinated, and carried out
locally. The Point -in -Time count data provides critical feedback about the nature and
needs of persons experiencing homelessness in their areas. This year's Point -in -Time
count occurred on Thursday, January 25.
The deployment team arrived at 6:00 a.m. and was in the field until about 10:00 a.m.
The team included two City Staff (1 from Community Services and 1 from Code
Enforcement) and several deputies.
Contact was made with six people, all adults. They had no pets or children with them.
Contact was made at 3 different locations: the Chino Hills Promenade commercial center,
off of Pipeline; the open space behind Country Club Marketplace; and the flood channel
(Chino Creek) by Fairfield Ranch Road and Central Avenue.
If you have any questions regarding staff's efforts, please contact Alma Hernandez in
Community Services at (909) 364-2717.
KB:JM:ssr
